Composition
Solution
100 g contain 1.1 g propylene glycol monomalate, 1.37 DL-malic acid, 38.5 g
propylene glycol, 0.14 g benzoic acid, 0.04 g salicylic acid in aqueous solution.
Ointment
1 g ointment contain 3.5 mg propylene glycol monomalate, 4.5 mg DL-malic acid,
103.1 mg propylene glycol, 0.5 mg benzoic acid, 0.12 mg salicylic acid, 32 mg
benzyl alcohol, 0.3 mg methyl p-hydroxybenzoicum, 0.7 mg propyl-p-hydroxybenzoicum
Properties and mechanism of action
Because of the benzoic acid and the salicylic acid Acerbine has a bactericidal
effect. It accelerates scarring and enhances the production of healthy granulation.
Under the influence of the solution grafts which have been implanted in an area
of restoration that has been prepared with Acerbine settle regularly. The resulting
scars are supple and free from cicatricial keloids.
Indications
Burns, scalds, sunburn, abrasions, skin lesions resulting from bruising, slow-healing
wounds, decubital ulcers, ulcers, and the preparation of transplantation.
Mode of application
Spray Acerbine solution onto the wound or cover it with a sterile compress soaked
in Acerbine.
Apply Acerbine ointment direct to the wound.
Dosage
Apply several times per day, cover with sterile compresses.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any one of the components
Pregnancy and lactation
Application during pregnancy and lactation is possible.
