Composition
1 coated tablet contains 55 mg Cynara (standardised to 1% cynarin).

Properties and mechanism of action
Choleretic
Cynara, the standardised extract of the artichoke with its principle agent cynarin, has a mild but long-lasting choleretic activity, thus avoiding acute stases in the bile-conducting organs and enhancing the secretion of pancreatic enzymes.

Indications
Dyspeptic symptoms and meteorism following fatty meals or meals which are difficult to digest, liver diseases such as the residual symptoms of hepatitis and chronic hepatopathies, subacute and chronic biliary tract diseases, follow-up treatment after a cholecystectomy, endogenous wash of the biliary tract in case of choledocholiths.

Dosage
1 to 2 film coated tablets 3 times per day with meals

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any one of the agents. Severely impaired liver functions, occlusion of the biliary tract, gallbladder empyema
Pregnancy and lactation
According to current scientific findings there is no evidence of embryotoxic action or damages caused by application during lactation. A benefit/risk evaluation must be carried out by the doctor.
