The benefits of Calmaben at a glance
Made in Austria
A good and sound sleep is important for being able to recharge your batteries for the next day and to regenerate. In Austria, about one in four people have trouble falling asleep and sleeping through the night.¹
How do you use Calmaben and how does Calmaben work?
Calmaben is a hypnotic agent (sleeping aid) for the short-term treatment of insomnia (problems falling and staying asleep). Calmaben is used in adults and adolescents aged 12 and over.
Active ingredient
1 coated tablet contains 50 mg diphenhydramine hydrochloride.
Dosage
Adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older should take 1 coated tablet 30 minutes before bedtime with plenty of non-alcoholic liquid.
A sufficient sleep duration of 7–8 hours should be ensured to reduce the risk of impaired responsiveness especially the ability to drive, on the following morning.
Do not take more than 1 coated tablet; the treatment duration should be kept as short as possible.
If sleep disorders persist, the medicine should be discontinued no later than after two weeks and the need for its use should be reviewed.
This medicine can impair responsiveness and the ability to drive. This applies particularly in combination with alcohol.
Please note: Not all sleeping disorders require the use of hypnotic agents (sleeping tablets). They are often the symptoms of physical or mental disorders and can also be managed by other measures or treatment of the underlying disease.
